|
March 17, 2002-The United Nations Development Program-Global Environment Facility (UNDP-GEF) has awarded Strategic Marketing Inc. a contract to produce four case study brochures that will constitute the institution's lead marketing collateral material to be distributed at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, South Africa later this year. The four case study brochures will focus on critical areas identified as UNDP priorities: biodiversity, international waters, climate change, and land degradation. SMI associate James McGowan will shoulder the main editorial responsibility with SMI staff contributing to the project concept development and project execution. This corporate communications project is the fourth major assignment awarded to SMI by UNDP and UNDP-GEF. In addition to smaller corporate communications projects, SMI had been retained to draft and produce corporate outreach material for the GEF Assembly in New Delhi, India in 1998. Earlier UNDP assignments included in-country missions as a renewable energy expert to the Government of Somalia in 1988 and as a solar marketing expert to the Government of Egypt in 1986. "Our work for UNDP-GEF represents our ability to conceive and manage turnkey corporate communications projects with minimal client supervision. We appreciate the trust and confidence that UNDP-GEF managers place in our ability to produce marketing literature that reflects on all of the great work they have done and continue to do," says Chris Gadomski, principal with SMI. "By providing us a turnkey contract, we were able to deliver an outstanding product at a very competitive price." ### |
