Third CD Published For WEC CFFS

October 17, 2001-SMI has published the third CD for the World Energy Council's Cleaner Fossil Fuels Systems (CFFS) Committee. The CD, which was produced for distribution at the World Energy Council's 2001 Congress in Buenos Aires this month, is a compilation of the committee's presentations at three conferences held in Ankara, Turkey in May 1999; Dakar, Senegal in June, 2000; and Rio De Janiero, Brazil in March 2001. Earlier CDs produced by SMI focused on individual conferences.

The CFFS Committee, which receives substantial support from the U.S. Department of Energy, is chaired by Barbara N. McKee, who organized and sponsored regional conferences to stimulate dialogue among industry players about clean and efficient use of fossil fuels. The Committee's charter is promoting the understanding of the strategic value of cleaner fossil fuel systems in meeting global energy demand.

In addition to the three CDs produced for the CFFS Committee, SMI was retained under subcontract to the United States Energy Association (USEA) to produce supporting collateral material to publicize the committee's activities. For the 2001 WEC Congress in Buenos Aires, SMI prepared the CFFS Committee exhibit booth displays.

"Our work for the CFFS Committee--flash programming for multimedia presentations, print media, and large format is an excellent example of the range of services we can provide our clients," says Chris Gadomski, principal with SMI. "By providing all of these services to the client we were able to deliver them very competitively."
