
August 2004--The Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College/CUNY has appointed Chris Gadomski, head of Strategic Marketing Inc., to teach International Marketing Management in its increasingly renowned MBA program.
Mr. Gadomski received his MBA in Marketing Management from the Zicklin School having completed his thesis on "Marketing High Technology to Developing Countries" with a case study in the renewable energy industry.
"I am very excited about revisiting the Zicklin School of Business as an adjunct in the Marketing and International Business Department. The education I received there--especially the attention from my thesis advisor Professor Yoshi Tsurumi--helped launch my international marketing practice in the energy field," says Gadomski. "I look forward to inspiring, and contributing to the success of a new generation of students."
Since graduating from Baruch in June of 1986, Gadomski has built a global business development and marketing communications consultancy with projects and clients on four continents. Although the energy industry has been and remains a principal focus, with several projects for the United Nations Development Program, the US Department of Energy and Coastal Energy, the company has also contributed to the success of several information technology and financial services firms. Highlights include long-term assignments with:
* The Academic Information Systems group (ACIS) at IBM which retained Gadomski for a multi-year assignment aimed at developing the academic research market for IBM's hardware and software products.
* The Polish, Russian and Hungarian Enterprise Funds, established by the SEED Act of 1989, which retained SMI as marketing communications consultant. These institutions became leading investors and lenders in the transformation economies of Eastern Europe.
* Radio Computing Services (RCS) which retained SMI as an advertising and direct marketing consultant to this global industry leader that provides automation software to the broadcast industry.
Gadomski's current research interests include the application of internet marketing for global business development.
Zicklin is the largest business school in the US featuring the 13th ranked part-time MBA, its fifth appearance in the "top 20" in the last six years, and a new, highly selective full-time MBA program.
